Registration / Account

Registration is free. Anyone with an email address can register. Registration is required to purchase and download content.

If you are unable to log in, please check the following:

  • Email / Password: Please make sure there are no errors in your input. Passwords are case-sensitive.
  • Forgot Password: You can reset your password from "Forgot Password" on the login page.
  • Email Verification Incomplete: Please click the URL in the verification email sent during registration to complete verification.
  • Cookie Issue: Please enable cookies in your browser and try again.

If the issue is not resolved by the above please contact us via the contact form.

You can receive a password reset email by entering your registered email address from "Forgot Password" on the login page. If you forgot your username, you can also log in with your email address.

You can change these from the Account Settings in My Page. Changing your email address requires confirmation of your current password. A password reset link will be sent to your registered email address.

If you haven't received the verification email yet, please try registering again. If you're already logged in, you can change your email address from Account Settings in My Page. If you can't log in, please contact us via the contact form.

If you wish to delete your account please contact us via the contact form. Please note that after deletion you will lose access to all purchased content.

Payment / Pricing

Currently, only credit card payments are accepted.

There are no additional fees beyond the listed price. There are no monthly or subscription fees — you only pay for the content you purchase.

All listed prices include consumption tax. No additional consumption tax will be charged.

Credit card information is not stored on First Gravure's servers. Payments are processed through GMO Payment Gateway's secure system.

Since our site does not store card information, you will need to enter your payment details each time you make a purchase. If your card has expired or can no longer be used, please enter new card information or try a different payment method.

Common reasons for a card being declined include:

  • Incorrect card number / expiration date / security code
  • Card credit limit exceeded
  • Card restricted from online payments
  • Card blocked from use with international services

Please contact your card issuer or try a different payment method.

Due to the nature of digital content, cancellations and refunds after purchase cannot be accepted. Please check the sample videos and preview images before purchasing.

Downloads / Playback

After logging in, you can check your purchased content from the "My Gravure" page. You can manage videos, photobooks, photo sets, and more in one place.

You can choose from SD, HD, 4K, and 8K quality. Available quality options vary by content. Streaming playback in the browser is also supported, so you can watch without downloading.

Photo sets are available in three quality levels: LQ (Low Quality), HQ (High Quality), and UHQ (Ultra High Quality). Available quality levels vary by content.

Videos are available for download in MP4 format and can be played directly in common video players (Windows Media Player, VLC, etc.).

4K and 8K videos are provided in MP4 format using the AV1 codec. An AV1-compatible player is required for playback.

Windows: You can use VLC Media Player (free), or install the AV1 Video Extension from the Microsoft Store to enable playback in the standard media player.

Mac: If you are using macOS Ventura (13.0) or later, the standard QuickTime player supports AV1 playback. Otherwise, we recommend using VLC Media Player (free).

Downloaded content is not DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected. After purchase, you can freely watch it on your devices. However, unauthorized redistribution of content is prohibited under copyright law.

Purchased content can be downloaded from My Gravure at any time and as many times as you like. There is no time limit.

Download speed depends on your internet connection. 4K and 8K videos in particular have large file sizes and may take time. Please try using a Wi-Fi connection or downloading at a different time of day.

If you are unable to download please try the following:

  • Check that you are logged in
  • If your browser's pop-up blocker is enabled, please allow pop-ups from firstgravure.jp
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies then try again
  • Try using a different browser

If streaming playback is not working please try the following:

  • Check that your internet connection is stable
  • Update your browser to the latest version
  • Check that JavaScript is enabled
  • Reload the page and try again
  • Try using a different browser

The site supports PC, smartphone, and tablet. Streaming playback in the browser is available on smartphones as well. Download support may vary depending on your device. We recommend the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge.

Email / Notifications

If you are not receiving emails, the following may be the cause:

  • Spam Folder: The email may have been sorted into your spam folder. Please check your spam folder.
  • Incorrect Email Address: There may be an error in the email address you registered. Please check your registration information in My Page.
  • Domain Settings: If you are using a carrier email address, please configure your settings to allow emails from "@firstgravure.jp".
  • Inbox Full: Your mailbox may be full. Please delete unnecessary emails and try again.

You can toggle email notifications on/off from Account Settings in My Page. You can also unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.

Emails from First Gravure are limited to service-related notifications such as purchase confirmations and new releases. We never send spam. If you do not wish to receive emails, you can unsubscribe at any time from the settings in My Page.

Privacy / Security

We never sell or share your personal information with third parties. Personal information is used only for providing our services and processing payments. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

Our site is encrypted with SSL (HTTPS) and all communications are protected. Payments are processed in GMO Payment Gateway's secure environment, so your card information is never stored on our servers.

Other

You can add models, videos, photobooks, photo sets, making-of videos, and other content to your favorites. You can access them anytime from the "Favorites" tab in My Gravure.

These are bundled product sets that allow you to purchase multiple items at a discount. They may be cheaper than buying individually, so please take advantage of them when making bulk purchases.

International access and purchases are supported. The site is available in 33 languages including Japanese, English, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).

Please submit your content requests via the contact form. While we cannot guarantee that all requests will be fulfilled, we will use them as reference for future content production.
